marjon ghasemi

An entrepreneur by nature and an attorney by training, Marjon has spent her nearly 20-year career straddling between legal counselor and business advisor. Marjon is passionate about helping clients innovate and grow, and believes that by gaining a deep understanding of a client’s industry, business culture and aspirational plans, she can provide tailored legal and business solutions across the corporate lifecycle. Marjon is committed to providing her clients with cost-effective representation and her systematic approach to her practice has helped clients set themselves up for sustainable and efficient growth.

Marjon’s multi-disciplinary practice focuses on providing outside general counsel and corporate development services. Having spent more than half of her career in a legal role, acting as mergers and acquisitions counsel, both in-house and at a national firm; and the other half of her career in a business role, overseeing corporate development for a highly-acquisitive Fortune 1000 public company, Marjon's value-added approach, is practical and solutions-focused. With her unique body of experience, Marjon is particularly well-suited to partner with the many growing and innovative Orange County-based businesses, as they navigate the process of outside founding or as they prepare for an exit.

Prior to joining Clarus, Marjon served in a number of legal and business advisory roles, including Division General Counsel, Vice President of Corporate Development and corporate associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, which is consistently ranked as a top 10 prestigious firm and a Tier 1 firm across practices, by the highly-accredited Vault Law and US News and World Reports “Best Law Firms,” respectively.

Marjon holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law (2000) and Bachelor of Arts, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles (1997).

Marjon was raised in Orange County, loves tropical vacations and her chocolate lab, Jasper, enjoys long walks on the beach.
